"I connected with Thomas very quickly. He is both a great teacher and has a strong technical background. Our discussions were always incredibly helpful, not only in terms of the motivation he gave me but also in the practical realization of the projects and goals related to the training I completed.
Thomas shares his experience effortlessly. He knows how to build trust while targeting areas for improvement. Many of the sessions I had with Thomas were enriched with cybersecurity content, either with his staying up to date with the latest research or from his own work.
Having a mentoring session once a week was beneficial for me. It gave me time to reflect on my own and set aside any questions that lingered for the next session. In the few cases where I needed help between these sessions, Thomas was available through email exchanges."
"I found our mentoring sessions with Thomas to be highly enriching. His expertise and teaching approach helped me achieve my goals and boost my confidence.
Each session contributed to my progress, both technically and in understanding cybersecurity challenges. Thomas’s advice was always on point, tailored to my level, and helped me overcome obstacles.

Hi! I'm Thomas Roccia! I've been working in the cybersecurity industry for over 14 years now. My focus and passion lie in the field of threat intelligence and malware analysis. I'm currently working as a Senior Security Researcher at Microsoft.
During my career, I've had the opportunity to travel around the world to manage critical outbreaks and have been on the front lines of some of the most notorious cyber-attacks. I've been tracking cybercrime and nation-state campaigns, and I've worked with law enforcement agencies.
In addition to my professional work, I'm a regular speaker at security conferences, and I'm committed to contributing to the open-source community through various projects. Since 2015, I've been running the Unprotect Project, an open malware evasion technique database, and I am used to share my findings on social media. I'm always excited to share my experience with others and learn from them too!
Since 2018, I've been mentoring students and professionals with diverse goals, whether it's coaching for a master's degree in cybersecurity, submitting a talk proposal to major security conferences, seeking advice for projects, or preparing for the GAFAM hiring process.
